That little number on the scale doesn’t determine how good you feel and how good you look. For all you know, those measly little 5 pounds you want to loose wont budge on the scale, no matter how much you work out/eat healthy. It’s called muscle weight. Trust me; you want that weight. The difference is in how you feel and look, not a number. 
The best way to keep yourself away from temptation is to not have a scale in your house.

I could elaborate on the countless reasons on why you should drink water, but I think you get the gist.

Now, you have to take this into consideration. In this situation, the definition of “cheating” is “taking a whole day/week off and ignoring eating healthy and just eating anything you want”, or “not working out for a week because you’ll ‘workout tomorrow instead’”, etc. You need to give yourself something you crave once in a while, or else you will binge. Don’t be so drastic. If you’re sore, take a rest day, but not a rest week (being sore and having an injury are two completely different things, i’m not telling you to ignore injuries or things that don’t feel right). Listen to your stomach, not your tongue. Be reasonable, not obsessive.
